AI Can't Replace This: 5 Ways to Build Real Self-Discipline

AI Can't Replace This: 5 Ways to Build Real Self-Discipline

As someone who has a neurospicy brain (thanks ADHD), there are times when it feels like a struggle to stick with having self-discipline whether it is at home, trying to create healthy habits that stay long term, or making sure to be consistent in general at work.

AI has been picking up steam lately and it is an amazing tool that is constantly improving itself each day. That being said, there are some things it cannot replace; but AI can definitely help support your goals with creating a framework on building consistency to help you reach your goals. The running joke my sister and I have is how much I ask AI’s help with creating financial plans to purchase a new home and its response is the Bernie Sanders meme of “Once again I am asking for you help), IYKYK.

Here are 5 ways things I have been implementing this summer as my work load picks up and as I am working on improving myself and creating self-discipline:

  • Set boundaries (digital and personal).

    • Get clear on what you will and will not do or put up with.

  • Create a 3-item priority list.

    • This has been a game changer for me to help focus and not get overwhelmed.

  • Use time blocking.

  • Say no faster.

    • Become the Director of No. This is what makes what you are saying yes to more valuable.

  • Celebrate micro wins.

What is one thing from this list that you can begin doing consistently for the next month? Try it and then add another. You would be amazed on how quickly your life will change.
